Cut For Being Clean
Written by stacy on March 3, 2009
My mother always stressed the importance of clean. It's something that has stuck with me for the past twenty years, for better and for worse. A few years back I threw a birthday party for a friend at my place that went on until the wee hours of the morning. I was utterly exhausted from all the planning and preparations but I couldn't stand the idea of leaving this mess to sit. I started at about 3 a.m. and I figured it wouldn’t take me more than a couple hours. Well, it took me longer than I thought it would and even though I knew I wasn't going to get much sleep, I pushed on. At one point I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep but I just had to get my place clean. By the time the cleaning was done I had just enough time to get ready for work. It was by far the worst day ever. I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. I spilled coffee on myself, got yelled at by the boss and tripped going down the stairs. But at least I had a clean house to come home to. That's all that really matters.
