Cleaning the toilet

Cleaning the toilet Posted January 24 2010 - 12:46 am We are renting a house and the toilets are awful! I have tried so many things to clean them and they still look dirty. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get them to sparkle? Thanks, SAH-Dad |

Posted March 13 2010 - 1:38 pm Is is rust or lime stains? If you can be more specific someone might be able to give the answer that can help you. LOL |

Posted April 26 2010 - 9:39 pm I've used a product called Zud and it works wonders. I simply wet the area to be cleaned and sprinkle some zud on and let set. It's a powder similar to Comet. Mist a little so it's wet and then scrub. It's incredible! |

Posted May 18 2010 - 3:54 pm Try using CLR to clean your toilets. CLR is for rust, calcium and lime deposits. Just flush the toilet first and as the water is going down pour the CLR all around the bowl even under the rims. You will be amazed all that CLR can clean. It doesn't take too much to clean with because it is much thicker than syrup and clings to the sides of the toilet. Just brush the toilet with the toilet cleaner and it will sparkle. Good luck. Posted October 24 2010 - 4:38 pm The soft scrub total bath and bowl works great on those stains as well. |

Posted January 27 2011 - 1:25 pm Go to thecleanteam.com and order a pumice stick. You can use it on the inside or outside of the toilet porcelain just don't use it on the seat or lid. Use very wet and be careful, it is a real stone. We have turned toilets that rental owners were going to throw away into brand-new! |
